Systems & Controls

for Marking and Lighting
of Offshore Wind Farms

Designed exclusively for offshore wind farms, our NAi (Nav Aid interface) protocol is a powerful bus system that connects all components, ensuring smooth communication between multiple devices on each turbine. This information is then relayed to our ParkMaster system, providing real-time insights into the functionality and health of every device.

Reliable marking systems are critical for offshore wind turbines, requiring uninterrupted operation under all conditions. That’s why each turbine is equipped with a battery backup system. However, because each turbine plays a unique role in hazard communication for mariners and pilots, they require customized component configurations. That’s why we carefully assess energy consumption to develop a backup system tailored to each turbine’s specific needs.

While the system is designed for full autonomy, manual control may sometimes be required. Using our SCADA system, operators can remotely monitor and adjust the lighting system. Additional control devices, such as visibility sensors, MRASS for fog signals, and backup sensors, further enhance reliability, ensuring the system remains operational even if network issues arise.

More Information

To mariners and aviators, an offshore wind farm must appear as one clearly defined obstruction. Sabik Offshore’s NAi system seamlessly integrates all marking components across diverse turbine setups – ensuring synchronization, scalability, and full remote control for safe and unified visibility at sea.

Systems & Controls
for Offshore Wind Farms

Offshore wind farms may span dozens of kilometers and hundreds of components – but for mariners and aviators, they must act as one. With Sabik Offshore’s NAi system, all marking elements are seamlessly connected, synchronized, and monitored for maximum safety and operational efficiency.

NAi System

At Sabik Offshore, we’ve developed a smart and scalable solution: the NAi system – short for Nav Aid Interface. It forms the backbone of our marking technology, linking together all devices on each turbine and across the entire wind farm.

ParkMaster
The controllers monitor the status of the components and communicate with the central ParkMaster server, the data hub for the entire navigation system, including the aviation lighting. The SCADA interface provides operators with remote monitoring and control.
