Aviation Safety
Aviation Obtruction Lighting
for Offshore Wind Farms
Nighttime flight near offshore wind turbines presents significant risks, especially when the true height of an obstruction is difficult to perceive which is why our aviation lighting solutions are designed to give visual cues to support safe and reliable flight operations across offshore wind farms.
Aviation lights help pilots navigate around and through an offshore windfarm. Standard on all windfarms is a medium intensity red flashing light on the nacelle. If the turbine is higher than 150 meters then low intensity tower lights are added to give the pilot reference on how high the nacelle lights are.
Other aviation lights include infrared lights for pilots, a green heli-hoist light and in some cases a helicopter corridor light to illuminate the tower along a landing path.
Compliance You Can Trust
We design marking and lighting systems that fully meet global and local requirements. With an active dialogue with authorities and participation in standards groups such as IALA, RenewableUK, and WindEurope, we stay at the forefront of evolving regulations—giving you confidence that your project is compliant in every market.
Beyond Products –EndtoEnd Support
From early concept development through installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and longterm operation, we stand alongside you at every stage. Our team ensures continuity, clarity, and reliable support throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Medium Intensity
Aviation Obstruction Light
Mounted on the nacelle of offshore wind turbines, our medium intensity obstruction lights are typically red flashing lights that alert pilots to the presence of an obstruction. To ensure 360-degree visibility, two lights are installed on top of each nacelle, offering full coverage in all directions.

Low Intensity Tower Lights
As wind turbines increase in height, additional lighting is necessary to provide a clear indication of the turbine’s size to approaching pilots. Our low intensity tower lights are installed on the turbine tower and complement the medium intensity lights, offering an extra layer of safety. They are designed to provide full 360-degree visibility.

Heli-Hoist Lights
Safe helicopter operations on offshore wind turbines require precise coordination. Our Heli-Hoist lights play a crucial role during hoisting operations. When the turbine blades stop spinning, a green light begins flashing, signaling to the helicopter that the rotor is slowing down. Once the blades are fully locked into place, the light turns to a steady green, indicating that the helicopter can safely approach for hoisting.

Helicopter Corridor Lights
In some situations, creating a designated landing path for helicopters is necessary. Our helicopter corridor lights offer a high-powered illumination system that creates a clear visual path for pilots flying towards landing pads within an offshore wind farm. Strategically placed along turbine towers, these lights provide clear guidance, ensuring a safe approach for landing.
