CONSTRUCTION SAFETY

MARINE AIDS TO NAVIGATION
FOR OFFSHORE WIND FARMS

Aids to Navigation and Buoys safely mark offshore wind construction sites.

Construction sites—especially those on the water—present unique safety challenges. Incomplete structures and hidden hazards can increase the risk of collisions and accidents. Our specialized marking services ensure that construction zones and developing structures on the water are clearly identified, helping crews and vessels navigate safely.

Compliance You Can Trust

Selfcontained units must endure long winter darkness in the North Sea and still deliver dependable performance. We make sure our solutions are built for these extremes and fully aligned with all local requirements.

Full Support and Management

The construction phase of an offshore wind farm is a critical step in the overall project delivery. Drawing on extensive experience, our specialists design the right buoy and lighting configuration to safeguard the site, managing the entire constructionphase marking process from start to finish.

Area Protection

Cardinal buoys and area markers provide essential visual cues to signal offshore construction zones. We deliver a complete and flexible solution—from supplying buoys and lighting to full mobilization, ongoing service, and demobilization once construction is complete.

Temporary Marking
with Self Contained Lanterns

Self contained, solar powered LED Marine Lanterns
are used to mark obstructions in the water that
do not yet have power such as the foundation or
transition piece.

The Construction Site of Baltic Eagle

Towards the end of 2022, construction will start on the OSS for Iberdrola’s Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm. In order to ensure a safe working environment, Sabik Offshore was commissioned to mobilize cardinal buoys to mark the construction site.

The Construction Site of Kriegers Flag

The 1,000-hectare nature reserve near Neubrandenburg also encompasses the southern tip of Lake Tollensesee. This strictly protected part of the lake is an important European bird sanctuary and must be clearly marked across its entire two-kilometer width.
